We’re a pub in Bury St Edmunds just a stone’s throw from the train station. We’re part of the independently owned Gusto Pronto family and are passionate about great beer and hospitality. We are what you want us to be.
We’re the brewery tap for our craft brewery Brewshed who brew just down the road. Our brewing journey started here in 2011 in the shed next door (now Pizzashed) and we brewed there very happily until the shed nearly burst at the seams, necessitating a move to a new shiny purpose built brewery.
We always have 5 or 6 Brewshed real ales on the bar in addition to 5 or 6 Brewshed keg beers. Some are part of our core range, some are seasonal and some we brew just because we can. Don’t panic if real beer isn’t your thing though as we also have a great little wine list plus spirits, cider and even a lager or 2 for your less discerning friends.
Take a seat in our beer huts, in our stretch tent (these are heated and lit), on the terrace or inside the pub by the fire. Food is available from our friends at Pizzashed during their opening hours. At other times you’re welcome to order a takeout from elsewhere (but we can’t provide plates or cutlery). We don’t take bookings.
Payment is by card or contactless payment only.
We’re open every day.
Accompanied under 18’s are welcome outside until 7.30pm.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the pub and the garden.
