what can we expect?

Our aim is simple - to serve a wide selection of great cask ales as well as some European beers, carefully selected wines and simple pub food in a clean, friendly and traditional pub environment.

tell us more…

Our main focus is on traditional cask ales. We have 8 hand pumps dedicated to cask ale with an ever changing range of beers from interesting local and national brewers. Our beer count shows everything we've stocked so far and we added our very own Brewshed beers to the range in 2011.

Although ale is our main focus, we do offer a small range of quality draft lagers and a draft stout. We also have 3 hand pumps exclusively for cask ciders. Our cider count shows what we've stocked so far. You'll also find a handful of good wines by the glass and over 20 whiskies.

If you're looking for something to eat, we offer a selection of simple but tasty bar snacks such as deep fried whitebait and crispy fried brawn with piccalilli. During the winter months, you can also munch on spit roast pork in a crusty roll roasted in front of our open fire every Friday evening. If you're looking for a more substantial meal, look no further than our sister pubs, The One Bull or The Cadogan.

We also have a great outdoor space with seating for over 50 people so don’t forget to come and enjoy a beer in the sun (on the rare occasions that our great British weather gives you the chance!)...

We host regular beer festivals.

Our crib team came second in the 2011/12 league and won both the pairs and the Norwich brewery cup. What you won’t find at The Beerhouse is a TV, a pool table or fruit machines as this is simply not what we are about.

Free wi-fi is available throughout the pub.

what about the kids?

We don’t feel that The Beerhouse itself is an environment suitable for children although they are welcome to sit with you in the garden. Alternatively our sister pub, The Cadogan is great for the whole family and children are also welcome during the day at our other sister pub, The One Bull.
